Two charged in Romsey aggravated burglary investigation

Two people have been charged following an investigation into a report of an aggravated burglary in Romsey.

Officers were called at 5.30pm on Sunday 19 April to an address in Mercer Way.

It was reported that the house had been broken into, and a man in his 30s had been assaulted and threatened.

No serious injuries were reported.

Officers arrested two people in connection with this incident on Tuesday 21 April. They have now been charged, following an investigation by Test Valley CID.

George Gilbert, 29, and Hannah Patience, 31, both of Turnor Way, Eastleigh, have been charged with aggravated burglary with intent and affray.

Both are due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today (Thursday 23 April).
